Unleashing their mighty guitar solos and melodic mumble-chic vocals, Welsh Indie Rockers
Himalayas’ new single ‘V.O.V’ brings Himalayas over the mountains and sends them up into the
big leagues.
“V.O.V talks about Resistance against Violence and Suffering” says vocalist Joe Williams “We
wanted to talk of contrasting worlds and how the cracks between them are so readily paved
over”

V.O.V was co-written by AC/DC’s Brian Johnson and produced by mixing master Dan Lancaster “Finding out Brian liked our music enough to work with us was pretty surreal.” Joe continues “We worked on getting the song and lyrics right for well over a year, wanting to get it right and do justice to Brian’s input. When somebody of that stature gives their approval of what you do it makes you think you’re hopefully doing something right. It was honestly such a great experience”
Working with AC/DC’s legendary front man is just the first step for them though as they support
Emo Legends Taking Back Sunday at the end of March and open up for all time heroes Foo
Fighters in their home town of Cardiff at the end of June. But with so many legends of the music
scene ticked off the metaphorical list are there any left to complete the dream?

“I was thinking about this recently” Joe remarked “Iggy Pop and (Queen of the Stone Age’s) Josh Homme would definitely be people I’d love to work with. I also think Becca from Marmozets is somebody that would be awesome to collaborate with too!”
V.O.V is nasty and dirty yet super polished and clean. It escalates on what was heard in their debut album ‘From Hell To Here’, released last year, and gives expectant Himalayas fans a taste of what’s to come in the future.
Check out the video for ‘V.O.V’ below and catch these guys with Taking Back Sunday at London’s Kentish Town Forum and Cardiff’s Great Hall on March 27th & 28th respectively and on their own headline tour around the country in June.
