This was my first time seeing The Now live and I did my homework listening to their music prior to the show, because when I go to a concert, I like to know the artists I'm seeing and I wanna get the full experience.
On spotify they rock100%, but live? There is a different energy, they own the stage making it theirs. They are not afraid to start jumping around and sometimes even climbing on the drum set.
Their music makes you wanna dance and sing, definitely a good time music style. Somehow it reminded me of that song "Born To Be Wild" by Steppenwolf, but with a lot more spice.
The drums are the heart of their songs and the guitar is biting.
This was also my first time as Press and I promised myself to be professional but I couldn’t help it, I ended up dancing and singing along with their fans.
If you have the chance to go and see them do it, you don't wanna miss out on such a good show.
I honestly wasn't surprised when I found myself singing to "Live & Die" while taking pictures, I've listened to that song many times in the last couples of weeks and hearing it live is even better.
I hope to see them again soon!
Opening Act:
Solar Eyes
More indie but with a twist of confident drums and guitars, between dance and relaxed vibes.
A slice of more niche band life with a big potential! At the end of the set, I was happy to see people nodding in rhythm with music (I was one of them). Would love to see them again too!
The Great Leslie:
My first thought was "they look like The Killers after a few too many energy drinks" in the best way possible. They brought a set that pulls you into dancing, but there was something more elaborate behind it, a mix between their music and the style, something that has built up in years.
