Far From Refuge
Far From Refuge

This EP from Far From Refuge comes out on Friday the 19th of July so make sure you click the links to pre-order or pre-save it now.

This is what the band say about their self-titled debut EP, “These songs have their roots in progressive metal, but our diverse influences combined heavily during the creative process. You'll find elements of punk rock, metalcore, melodic death and more across the record. We put a lot of heart into these tracks and can't wait for people to connect with this concentrated dose of Far From Refuge’s music.”

Daybreak

I love the beginning of this song because it's full on guitars and then this deep gruffy voice screams at you. The 2 voices going between the screaming in the verses and singing in the chorus works so well. This is my favourite song on the EP, the chorus is seriously banging.

The guitars on this track are amazing! They are the kind that I love, full on face melting! I love the speed and energy from this song, it gets you moving around as soon as it starts. Definitely an awesome moshing song when it's played live.

False Flag

Talk about a change in pace, this song starts off with some seriously awesome slap bass and was some slow singing. The drums sound like they are trying to break free in the verses until you get to the chorus' and then all hell breaks loose haha.

Whitemane

The guitars were really different on this one at the beginning, I was starting to feel a little put off but then the screaming came in and it made it all better haha. This is another one where there are slower parts and then back to faster.

Carcass

I really like the chorus on this one, I feel like it would be a great song to be played live as it sounds quite big and dramatic. Definitely a good song to end the EP with.
