Sean and I were in the car and set off by 7:30am. We thought there was going to be loads of traffic on the way and that we would get there just in time to see The Heat Inc at 1pm. Well, turns out there was hardly any traffic so we got to Call Of The Wild Festival much early than we expected, which was a blessing because we got to see.....
We Three Kings
These guys are brilliant, they are Rich, Pete and Bonesy (the skeleton). I hadn't heard any of their stuff before but really enjoyed their set, awesome rocky music with feel good vibes. I didn't stand still for the whole set having a little boogy.
I loved Bonesy, I didn't know the story behind him until the interview later on that day, but I loved him.
I'll gladly go and see them again.
This was our first time at COTW so we had a good look around. It's the smallest festival I have ever been to but that is what make it amazing. Everything was in short walking distance so there was no rushing around. The main stage and second stage were next to each other so no running between stages to see bands, there was no band performances clashing and if you got a good spot in the middle, you wouldn't need to move all day. One big plus for me was that the toilets were a toilet block, no portaloos in sight! I do like my comforts, even at a festival haha.
The Heat Inc
Loved the vibe from these guys, a slight hint of The Killers but with a twist. I just wanted to wiggle my bum to them for the whole set. The singer, Jon, has got such a great set of pipes on him, I love his voice.
I also got to interview Jon after their set
This was a short day for us, because of the long drive, my back and hip were starting to play up so we retreated to our hotel for the night, excited about the next day.
